Brave New World was the long awaited album for the year 2000. Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith had returned to the band in January 1999 after, the two together , an absence of 15 years. This was great news to the fans, brings me back great memories, I was listening a metal radio show and when the guy gave that info I couldn't believe it, I wanted to scream but I couldn't because it was 0:20, more or less, ehehehhe...

This album is really great but unfortunately the packing is a regular one, no digipack, no box, nothing. The album has 10 tracks, the Cd is picture and the booklet is great and brings all the lyrics.

In 2002 Maiden released the long awaited Rock In Rio show recorded in January 2001 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ferocious performance of our boys. This edition is a special one. Brings a holographic cardboard sleeve. Its great, you can move it and the sleeve change the colours and Eddie is more visible, amazing. The Cd's are picture and brings a 24 page booklet full of photos from the show and taken in Rio De Janeiro, and also has all the lyrics. This edition is not available anymore , so, you know, go to Ebay or other Web store to get a copy, NOW!!!!

Cd album: Edward The Great 2002 Best Of.Korean edition with a special cardboard box.

Wow, guys!! I received this beauty today. Its the Korean edition of the 2002 compilation Cd, Edward The Great.

It comes with a special cardboard box. I have to say that I was surprised with the quality of this box, its very shining, really great. This is the only extra here, the booklet, songs and artwork are the same as in the UK pressing. The booklet has also 20 pages with all the lyrics and promo photos, they also added here the Korean copyrights writings, the same they did on the Cd.

I have to say also that this Cd was a real war to get a hold on, since early 2006 that I was chasing this baby, but finally I manage to get it with a very cool price, 32.49 dollars with shipping included, who is always a lucky sod bastard hei? Ehehhehe...

Oh, before I leave here, this is really a official release boys and girls, this is based not on a certain envy and jealous Mike Hill ( its a fake name by the way, the guy was pretending to be another person but I'm more clever than he and I find out everything, but the world is not yet prepared to hear this whole story...), but based on real knowledge from intelligent and kind persons like my dear friend Teddy Yates from Texas/ Japan, Teddy is specialized in oriental issues and he guaranteed me that this one is 100% official, and I thank him very much for that, so, Mike Hill, give it up mate, you're wasting your time.

This is the 2003 studio album , Dance Of Death. A different album, I confess that I had to listen it too many times before really like him, its a great album mates. Has killer tracks like "Paschendale" and the title track, "Dance Of Death".

This is the Japanese edition which comes in a special cardboard box with a extra 20 pages booklet full of spectacular promo and live photos as well as some info in Japanese language, brings also the Japanese white sheet and the OBI strip, great edition boys and girls. I decided to have just this Japanese edition because the UK one doesn't have nothing extra like this one. The Cd is picture and the album has 11 tracks.

In 2005 Maiden decided to release another live album recorded in Monday, 11/2003 at Dortmund, Germany during the Dance Of Death 2003/2204 world tour. This show was also released in double vinyl picture disc and digipack DVD. Unfortunately this edition comes in a regular Cd case, no box, no digipack, nothing to us collectors, just the great show. The Cd's are picture and the album has 16 tracks.

This is the 2006 studio album , A Matter Of Life And Death. A landmark on Maiden career. The album is probably the best ever made after Number Of The Beast and Seventh Son. The guitars are much more cracking, very heavy and a great production again by Kevin Shirley.

This edition was limited and is not available anymore, so you boys and girls have to buy it on Ebay or on a second hand record store. Comes in a cardboard box and brings a DVD as bonus. The DVD contains a documentary about the recording of the album, photo gallery, and videos for "The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg" and "Different World". The album has 10 tracks.

Cd album: Somewhere Back In Time 2008 Best Of. 14 studio and live tracks from 1980 to 1989. UK pressing.

This is a Best Of that Iron Maiden decided to release this year following the tremendous success of the Somewhere Back In Time World Tour that concentrates the attention on the years 1984 to 1988.
The Cd unfortunately is a total waste of time and money , doesn't bring nothing to us collectors, no digipack, no slip case, no poster, no rare live tracks, nothing!!! The booklet just have a single live shot... the other pictures are Eddie artwork.
The picture Cd is very cool with the Eddie painting that was made by the Great Derek Riggs back in 1986/1987, Derek just made some improvements on Eddie and the pyramids specially for this release.
Cd has 14 tracks, some of them live but taken from Live After Death.

Cd album: Flight 666 movie documentary soundtrack. 16 songs plus intro recorded in 16 different cities. Year of release: 2009. Double Cd.

This is the double soundtrack Cd from the award winner movie documentary Flight 666.

The Cd consists in 17 recordings, 16 songs plus Churchill's speech, each one recorded in 16 different cities.

Again, its a regular edition with nothing extra for us collectors, few photos, and again I'm ironying here, they had so very few photos to choose... from the 85.000 John McMurtrie took from all the four legs...This was confirmed to me by John himself, I sent him a mail.

The sad thing about this Cd is that each song fades after end, wich cuts a lot the adrenalin, in the DVD they didn't do this crap!

I have the feeling that in some songs, not many, on the solo parts, the sound of Adrian and Janick guitars are very low compared with the very loud Dave guitar, I will have to listen more times to see if it really is or is just a first listening feeling.

Cd album: The Final Frontier 2010 studio album. Limited edition CD in a metal box. EU pressing.

The Final Frontier is the 15th Maiden studio album and I'm sad to say that is the worst work they ever done. The songs don't have physical energy, tremendous lack of energy and adrenalin. The lyrics are great, some of the best solos ever done, but the great and pounding riffs are not there, a work to forget. Just El Dorado in my opinion is a great song, the rest...simply average!
The cover was made again by Melvyn Grant, the guy who made the awful work on the Death On The Road album, and again this work is a pure shit. This is not Eddie at all and Maiden should take care much better of the persona responsible for billions of merchandise sales over 30 years. With so many talented persons making artwork, why is the guy making this awful jobs??
Please Maiden management, put Hervé Monjeaud doing album and single artwork.
For the first time Maiden didn't released any single in a physical or digital format, they just made videos for the songs Final Frontier and El Dorado.
This album was also released in a digital format with some extra contents.

Cd album: The Final Frontier 2010 15 studio album. Greek edition in digipack format with booklet in A4 size.

This is the Greek edition of the Final Frontier 2010 studio album.

Although the only Greek language is the one you see on the sticker of the plastic case, its really made for the Greek market, it was confirmed by a very experienced UK collector. The rest of the stuff, booklet, Cd or digipack don't has anything written in Greek, just English.

Its a regular digipack Cd, but what makes this item outstanding is the booklet made in A4 format, something that I never saw anyone doing, and the first time for Maiden. The songs and the alignment are the same, no extras here.

Its a lovely collectors item and I'm sure it will be in the future one of the most expensive to find, complete with the plastic cover.

There was some doubts about the veracity of this edition but I'm almost sure that no bootlegger would have money to afford this kind of paper they used on the booklet, the smell and the printing quality are top notch, 100% well made, nothing fading here. And we all know that one thing that the bootleggers normally fail is the printing, you just look for some of the recent ones , like the supposed Japanese vinyl replicas, its very well made but in some, the printing quality is not 100% well made.

Enjoy this Cd, its a great item, cost me some 28 Euros with shipping included, sold through a Greek Fan Club member.
