Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Ed Factor. Checoslovaquia. Year: probably 2006.82 pages colour and black and white.

This magazine I won it on Ebay, but its not 100% a special magazine, I consider it a mixture of fanzine and special magazine. The year of release was probably 2006 or 2007, I'm not sure, it has 82 pages, mostly in black and white.
I have to say that this mag deserves credit because its very very well done.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Maxximo Evento. Mexican magazine from February 2008. 36 pages.

Great special Mexican magazine from February 2008, all colour with loads of photos. Excellent quality paper and design.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Record Collector from year 2003. Special 18 pages coverage.

Great this mag, a bit of Maiden history plus Record Collector values for Maiden items, funny, the Soundhouse Tapes being evaluated in just 100 Pounds...
This is not a 100% Maiden magazine but has 18 pages!! Yes, it had to be here boys and girls, more than 12 pages to me , I consider it a special issue.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Teraz Rock, Polish special issue from July 2008. 52 pages colour and black and white.

Great special magazine, this time comes from Poland. Its a special issue from July 2008. I can't understand a word, except the titles of the songs and stuff, but I tell you boys and girls that is a great item to have. The magazine has 52 pages with colour and black and white photos, and it brings a couple of uncommon photos. The printing quality of the pictures is excellent, and the design is marvelous. I was told by a Fan Club member from Poland that the text is very accurate, very cool item indeed.
By the way, I bought this on EBay.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Guitar Legends special issue May 2008. 100 pages colour and black and white.

Well boys and girls, what could have been an outstanding special issue turn out to be a bit of a disappointing to me. Don't get me wrong , the mag is a great read and the facts are very accurate but it has several low points.
The majority of the photos, 99%, are very well known, the advertising on the cover of Ross Halfin new and unseen photos is just crap talk. Second Mr. Macbrian and Mr.Janick Gers weren't interviewed ( I'm suspicious it was because of this fact that Maiden didn't advertised this issue in their site as they did for the Billboard magazine special May 2008 issue). Third, the mag has 100 pages, no more no less than 36...yes boys and girls, 36, were burnt in 5 transcribed songs, one of them Phantom Of The Opera, which is a very long song, 3 short songs would have been more than enough, 14 full and two half pages for music advertisement is also ridiculous in a so called special issue. The unseen sketches from Derek Riggs that are advertised on the front cover are really just 6 representing the evolution of the painting that Derek made for the cover of his book ( also featured in his book), just that and no more. So, from a magazine of 100 pages we only get 50 with interesting stuff, the rest was burnt in advertising's and transcribed songs, very disappointing, they could learn a bit with past killer issues from Kerrang Legends in 2002 and Metal Hammer collectors edition 2005, and also the French magazines, that is really SPECIAL issues...

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Metal magazine. Released in 1992 in Argentina. 40 pages colour and black and white.

This is a special issue dedicated to our beloved band, published by Argentinean magazine, Metal. This mag is a publication of Editorial Magendra S.A. , same guys who published also in 1992 a pocket book, see this link, http://my-iron-maiden-collection.blogspot.com/2008/07/books-la-historia-completa-de-una.html
Well, I have to say that I expected a bit more, I mean, the mag is great, don't get me wrong, I love this stuff, but some photos have a shit printing quality, due to the fact that the paper is like a newspaper, but even so there are some cool photos to see. The mag has 40 pages colour and black and white.
This mag is all about the Maiden gig in Argentina in 25 July 1992 in the famous soccer stadium, Ferrocarril Oeste. But in fact the coverage starts in the day before, 24. All the mag is about those four days that Maiden spent in Argentina ( 24 to 27), what they did, what they eat, the football game they played, their show song by song, opinions from the fans, interviews with all band members and manager. So, its very cool, not that usual thing of the band history that we've heard thousands of times before. Its very interesting.
This was probably a series of issues dedicated to several rock bands because the name of the mag is just Metal, they just added Masters, and this particular issue is number 3, don't confuse boys and girls, issue number 3 is from Metal Masters series only.
I was completely unaware of this mag, in Marco Gamba and Nicola Visintini book "Companion", from 2001, there is no indication about this issue.
For the ones who don't know there is also a special 16 pages supplement from this mag, Metal, released in mid 1980's, if I'm not mistaken. I'm still missing that one...oh...bloody me...

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Spanish Metal Hammer Poster Express, first issue from 2009. Brings 8 mega posters.

This is the very first issue of Spanish Metal Hammer Poster Express magazine dedicated to the great rock bands.
I'm not a great poster fan but I couldn't resist to this ones and also the front page is very cool.
Inside there are 8 mega posters and nothing else, just a poster mag.
The Download 2007 festival artwork was made by the great Derek Riggs and the Eddie playing Rugby was made by the no less great French artist, Hervé Monjeaud for the special London event t-shirt in 2008.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: March 2010 Metal Hammer special Iron Maiden sticker book volume II. 20 pages.

Great item this one. Its another sticker album from Metal Hammer, March 2010, and like in 2008, it's totally dedicated to Iron Maiden, this time is around their career in this last ten years.
It has photos inside along 20 pages and each month there is a new sticker sheet, grab your copy now!
The front artwork was made by Hervé Monjeaud in 2008 for the event t-shirt, for the New York show.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Soundi Finland magazine from May 2008. Special 18 pages story plus cover.

Ok guys, OK, this is not a 100% Maiden magazine but guys, it brings a special 18 page coverage plus the front cover, so to me is almost a special magazine. This mag was released in May 2008 in Finland. I don't understand anything about the text but it brings 3 or 4 not very known photos so, it is a great addition to my collection. At this stage I want to have in my archive all the photos I can get my hands on.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: Italian Metal Maniac special issue from March 2010.36 pages plus 3 posters.

This year the guys from the Italian mag, Metal Maniac, decided to make another Iron Maiden special, they also did that in 2007 and 2008 as you can see in the earlier posts in this section.
The mag is from very good quality paper although some photos are poor which I believe is because they were taken not by professional cameras.
It brings 36 pages with 3 posters, one is a classic Maiden photo line up from 1980.
The mag talks about the NWOBHM , but Maiden has all the honours in this mag, its 100% Maiden.
Brings some very cool and unseen photos, specially from Mr. Denis Stratton.
In the end its a great piece of collection. Since I'm mad about special magazines, this fit my taste very well. In this final years of Maiden I want to collect as much photos as I can, if it brings just 3 or 4 its already a great addition.

Special magazines, 100% Maiden: German Rock Hard special 2010 issue. 132 Pages + 8 posters.

This is the 2010 Rock Hard German mag dedicated to Iron Maiden along 132 pages.
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed because I expected a bit more in terms of photos, the majority we've seen them hundreds of times, but still has some cool and unseen tour and promo shots.
It has interviews, discography and DVD's, Eddie and lots of photos. All in German language unfortunately. Brings also 8 double sided posters with album artwork since the first release until Seventh Son.
I think this mag is from July/August this year, not sure, but I think it is, for sure 2010.
Although the majority of the photos are very well known, its a privilege to have this kind of material, I'm a photo maniac and if a mag brings 5 or 6 shots that I never saw, to me its a great item to have in my collection. Its also a proud and joy to have almost 60 special magazines and supplements dedicated just to Maiden, released in so many different countries, how may bands achieved this? Not even Sabbath or Zeppelin or even Guns N' Roses.
The front and back pages are awesome, ultra quality paper and design.
There's also a couple of photos from the SBIT and TFF World tours.
Buy it now before its too late and expensive!!
