Virus was a new song written for the Best Of The Beast 1996 compilation album. This edition is in jewel case and has a slightly different promo band photo on the booklet.
Another interest of this single is that they included the two songs featured in the Metal For Muthas 1980 NWOBHM LP compilation. Maiden were the only band on that record to have the honour of having two tracks, one on each side.
