Here it is, Run For Cover,the 2006 book from Derek Riggs, the person responsible for the Eddie paintings since 1980 until now. I say until now because in between he made several stuff ( not many ) for Maiden like the Eddie cloud on Brave New World 2000 album, and before he made the Clansman Eddie, the 12' Virus sleeve, Angel Angel And The Gambler etc.
The book has 182 wonderful colour pages, the design is so beautiful, and has almost every Eddie that Derek painted. Also brings some works that Derek made for other artists. Along the book he explains how he came up with the ideas, the constant problems with the printing colours on the factory, like The Number Of The Beast artwork that came up with a blue sky instead of grey.The sleeve is a new Eddie, and I think we can still dream that one day Derek will be responsible again for the Maiden paintings, only this guy knows how to do Eddie. Buy this book guys , you won't be disappointed!!

Infinite Dreams was released in 1996 by Boxtree and written by Dave Bowler and Bryan Dray.Its the Iron Maiden history along with some interviews. It has also some nice photos and its a excellent read.

In 1999 Iron Maiden finally released another biography , this time written by rock journalist Mick Wall.The book has 353 pages and brings some very cool photos. Its the Maiden history but in a different way, the author decided to tell the story by personal bios chapters.Although the book was released in 1999 in 1998 the book was ready to be pressed but because Bruce and Adrian return to the band they just released it on the next year, on the back we see a band photo with Blaze.Its a great great book and I advise it to anyone, UP THE IRONS!!!

This was the first book published by Marco Gamba and Nicola Visintini, two Italian Maiden fans and collectors. This book is a compilation of most official and bootleg stuff that is available. Its great because we have the reference numbers, pictures of the items etc. The book has 77 pages all colour.

This book is a must have item for any Maiden collector, its name is Companion and was made by Nicola Visintini and Marco Gamba. This edition is from 2001 and is really their second book, at the time. The book is a comprehensive journey through most of Maiden official items with references, year of release photos etc etc. Is a great tool to all of us desperate collectors.

Just another book but an interesting read. Its called ,El Viage De La Doncella ( translation:the Iron Maiden Voyage), written by César Fuentes Rodríguez, a music journalist. This guy is from Argentina and has another book dedicated to Maiden which I think is called , Los Anos De La Bestia 1993 ( translation:the years of the beast).This particular book that I'm talking here was released in 2005 and I bought it in a second hand record shop in Barcelona, 12/2006 , when I went there to see our boys live, great gig I have to say, and it cost me 12.90 Euros, eheheh!! On Ebay is 40 Euros, eheheehh!!!It brings some photos , a couple of them are with the author of this book with Maiden through the years on meetings and interview sessions probably.The book has 146 pages.

Great Italian book, just all the lyrics from all albums since Iron Maiden until Brave New World. A big help!! Brings also all the single and album discography. It has also a very brief biography with some photos, one of them taken at Eddies Bar, Algarve, Portugal, my country!!

For now, there is no more books, there are more posts but they are there just for future purchases, because this is a blog we can't create sections, so, for you guys following the items all together I must create in advance extra posts. Saying this you don't need to go further. I hope you enjoyed the ride, I know I did, eheehh!!
